User Policy

This User Policy governs the relationship between Chedders LTD and individuals or organisations ("Users," "Clients," "you") who engage our services, visit our website, access our platforms, or interact with our team in any capacity.

This policy works alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Together, these three documents form the complete agreement between you and Chedders LTD.

To use our services you must: be at least 18 years of age (or have written parental/guardian consent); have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract; not be prohibited under Nigerian law or international sanctions from engaging commercial software services; and provide accurate and truthful information during onboarding.

Businesses engaging our services must have an authorised representative who accepts these policies on the organisation's behalf.

The following uses are strictly prohibited:

• Building platforms intended for fraud, money laundering, Ponzi schemes, or illegal gambling
• Commissioning offensive cybersecurity tools, ransomware, keyloggers, or malware for unauthorised use
• Building fake websites, phishing portals, or impersonation services targeting third parties
• Operating unlicensed banking, lending, or investment platforms without proper regulatory approval
• Hosting, distributing, or monetising illegal content including piracy or exploitation materials
• Engaging services for entities on international sanctions lists
• Commissioning platforms designed to stalk, harass, or harm individuals

Where we provide access to project management portals, admin dashboards, or client portals: you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials; you must not share access with unauthorised third parties; you must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access; you must use strong passwords (minimum 12 characters, mixed case, numbers, symbols); and account access is non-transferable without our written consent.

When you provide us with content (text, images, logos, data, videos, brand assets) for inclusion in your project: you warrant you own or have proper licences for all provided content; you grant us a limited licence to use the content solely for the purposes of your project; you indemnify us against any third-party claims arising from content you provided; and we will not use your content for any other client's project or for our marketing without explicit consent.

We are not responsible for verifying the legality or ownership of content you supply — that responsibility lies entirely with you.

By engaging our services, you agree to: pay deposits before project commencement; honour milestone payment schedules as agreed in your project contract; not initiate fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes without first notifying us; and be responsible for any bank fees, international transfer charges, or currency conversion costs.

Fraudulent chargebacks will be reported to the relevant payment processors and may result in legal action. Outstanding payments may be referred to debt recovery services.

Scope of work is defined in your project contract. In-scope revisions — changes that align with the original agreed brief — are handled without additional charge within the warranty period. Scope creep — new features or significant design changes not in the original brief — are treated as change orders with additional cost estimates. Once you formally approve a deliverable, further changes to that element may be charged as additional work.

All users engaging with Chedders LTD must communicate respectfully. We have a zero-tolerance policy for: abusive, threatening, or harassing language toward our team; discriminatory language or behaviour; and demands outside of agreed project scope without proper change-order processes.

We reserve the right to terminate services and retain deposits if a client engages in sustained abusive behaviour toward our team members. Official channels are: Email, WhatsApp, shared project management board, and scheduled video calls.

Policy violations may result in:

• Warning: First-time minor violations receive a written notice
• Suspension: Access to our platforms or services may be suspended pending investigation
• Termination: Serious or repeated violations result in permanent termination of services without refund of deposits for work already completed
• Legal Action: In cases of fraud, harassment, or criminal activity, we will pursue legal remedies including reporting to Nigerian law enforcement and the EFCC

Building a platform or product for you does not constitute our endorsement of your business, products, or content. We are engineering partners — not investors, advisors, or partners in your venture. We do not guarantee the commercial success, regulatory approval, or market reception of any product we build. Business success depends on many factors beyond software quality.
